STUDIO

My rate is $500 a day for any studio work (recording, mixing, mastering, editing, producing, writing, etc). A day typically starts around 10 AM and lasts for however long you, your bandmates, and I are comfortable working for (typically around 8 hours). This way we don't have to rush any part of the creative or technical aspects of capturing your art.

I also have a spare bedroom upstairs, since I'm operating out of a townhouse. Included are all amenities you would typically find in an AirBNB (bed, microwave, fridge, etc.).

First Wave Recording Studios makes it a priority to create fulfilling, beautiful art for people of all backgrounds, so I offer payment plans as well as per-project rates for larger works (albums, livestreams, installations, etc.) on a case-by-case basis. Contact me for a free estimate and we can work something out.

Any sessions cancelled or rescheduled within 2 days of the original scheduled date, will be charged a $20 fee.

LESSONS

Get educated in the studio for $60 with an hour-long lesson or $200 with a month's worth of lessons.

Getting educated in the recording arts can be the start of a life-long hobby, years of creative fulfillment, a new business, or hundreds of other avenues. Audio is such a wide field, and each person who engages with it can pave their own paths to get the most out of it. Whether you're a high schooler looking for more extracurriculars or an entrepreneur looking to create a media business, I can help guide you on how best to achieve your personal goals.

Let me share with you the all the ways I've found how to best run a recording session, mix a 4 piece band, or produce a track from nothing but a cell phone demo.  I've spent years running this recording studio and continue to educate myself in the vast world of music and audio. I graduated in the spring of 2020 with a BA in Music Technology from Virginia Tech.

RENTALS

Rent out my studio for $100 per half day.

Connect your computer to my studio, and I'll set you up with what you need. Mics, cables, stands, etc. Just let me know beforehand, and I'll have you sorted. This is a perfect space to rehearse with your band, make samples for a pack, produce beats, create podcasts, or anything else that you want to do.

If you want to book out a repeating schedule let me know, and I'd be happy to make that work. I want this to be a third space for a whole community of creatives.
